DOUBLE THE TWILIGHT!!!

After finishing the book, I was super excited to watch the movie!!! On thursday night, Jeff kept telling me he was going to the midnight showing, just so he could see it before me!! I took the opportunity of having my sister in law Nale up here to watch the kids so we could both go!! We invited the Vaitais and had a blast eating Sonics..and playing spades for 2 hours while we stood in line at the movies! After getting a whoppin 3 hours of sleep, it was time for our girls night out!!!

Our group

We went down in a limo....huge mistake if you get car sick....and I DO!!! Besides that, we went to eat and watched the movie AGAIN...LOVED IT....and afterwards went to Rachael house until 4 am and shared some FUNNY stories. After waking up for my boys flag football game at 730, I realized I was running on 6 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours.....NOT GOOD!!!

Jill, Mary, Liz, Me, and Stacy in the Limo

Anyways, I had a blast and am still an Edward and Bella fan. The movie was a little low budget, corny, and had dorky, high school humor.....but the two of them made up for it all!!! I can't wait to read the next three and do this all over again next year.....minus the limo!!!!

Me and Liz

Thanks to all those who went and made the night "a night to remember....!!!" Now it's time to catch up on some sleep...(Check out the song on my playlist that Edward and Bella were dancing to at the end of the movie...flightless bird, aMerican Mouth...LOVE IT!!)

I Finally Did IT!!!!!

On Friday, a group of us girls are going out to dinner and we are going to watch the new release ... TWILIGHT!! Out of the 17 of us that are going I was the ONLY one who never read, or even WANTED to read the book. Everyone kept telling me how good it was and my mom finally just gave me the book and said "READ IT!!" So it sat in my house for over 6 weeks and I couldn't get past page 17!! To my suprise...one night I was asking Isaac where daddy was and he said he was in the computer room reading the APPLE book grandma gave me!! I went in there and saw him as he turned the last of the almot 500 page book. So my husband can do it and I STILL have NO desire, I thought???? Feeling a little like the black sheep of our group, I finally gave in! So Monday night I decided it was time....and I LOVED it!!! I didn't want it to end and started and finishd the first book!!! Thanks to everyone who kept telling me I would love it and to just give it a chance!!! I can't wait till Friday to finally see Edward and Bella on the big screen......I can finally admit to being a HUGE TWILIGHT FAN!!!

Finally ....some Family Pictures

For awhile now My Friend Maele has been telling me that we need to take our families pictures. We have not had any pics done since FOREVER!! Poor Jada has never had professional pics done and she's almost 2. So we finally set a date, and on Saturday I told Maele she was HIRED and we drove to a little spot she had found and took LOTS of pics. Trying to get 4 little kids to smile all at once isn't exactly easy, but she did a GREAT job!! We had such a great time and when I saw the results I was amazed. I would sooo reccommend her to any of you who are wanting family pics for upcoming christmas cards or any occassion for that matter. I think the pics turned out super cute, and to all of you who know me, I am my worst critic!! Thanks again Maele...you are the best!!

Juliana wanted to get invloved and decided she was a pepsi lover too!!! I personally am a diet coke fan, but hey....whatever floats thier boat...RIGHT??????

Carving pumpkins!!

For family home evening we went to the Vaitais for some yummy food and to carve pumpkins!! We have done this on previous halloweens and it is always so much fun. The kids think making thier faces is soo cool. Jared and Jeff did a great job on them!!! The missionaries even got caught up in the mix and carved a little missionary pumpkin!!

We also had a blast making some yummy carmel apples. The kids ate them UP!!! Especially my lovely LUKE with cookie mix ALL OVER HIS FACE!!! Nothing unusual for this boy!!

And while this was all happening Juliana and Emi were quietly playing dress up upstairs......OR SO WE THOUGHT!!!!

Good thing for her curly hair or it would have been a disaster!!! Good job girls, juliana is already taking after Grandma Stokes!!!

Juliana Turns 3

We had a fun little birthday party for Juliana yesterday. My BIG girl finally turned 3!!! She had all of her little friends over and ate pizza, played games, and decorated cookies. They were all soo cute and had so much fun.

I can't believe how different little girl parties are from little boy parties. We played the same game for Julianas bday that we played for Lukes 4th bday last year (with all boys) and what a difference. I think my voice was strained from having to yell over the boys while playing the game, while the girls just stood there, ever so quietly, waiting thier turns. It was night and day!!!

Since I always have little friend bdays during the week, my mom never get's to come because she is always working. So we decided to have a bday party this past saturday for nana with just my parents. They came up to watch the boys flag football game and then afterwards we had some el pollo loco, opened up presants, and had a cute hello kitty cake with some yummy ice cream!!!

Juliana was super excited and loved opening her presants. It is so cute to see them at birthdays as they get older. They have no clue what's going on for the first 2 birthdays, so this one was really fun to see her SOO EXCITED for EVERYTHING that had to do with her BIRTHDAY!! Happy Birthday Juliana....WE LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!!

ANY IDEAS?????

So ..... I Am a self diagnosed Clean freak. I have to clean and mop and vacuum Every Day .... if not a couple Times a day. I just love the vacuum lines!!! I hate anything on my counters, my dishes ALWAYS have to be done and NO toys can be in the front room. I have to make my bed EVERY morning and have my pillows JUST PERFECTLY placed on my bed. My bathrooms have to be cleaned at LEAST once a day. I walk through the house and if there is something out of place in another room, I close the door until I can get to it because I Can't Stand to look at it.

I have to be organized and I make Lists ALL the time......JUST so I can cross off everything and feel some sense of accomplishment for the day. My mom told me I have always been like this. I would go around telling my brothers to clean their room and I was making my bed and cleaning at 2. So 28 years later.... and NOTHING new, I'm pretty much the same....just a little more OCD.

This brings me to the REASON why I am telling all of you this. I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME KEEP MY BOYS ROOM CLEAN FOR EVEN ONE DAY. I will clean it and organize it for hours (literally hours).......just to go in before they go to bed and find this.........

This is after 1 day, and this is mild, not even as bad as it usually is. I CANNOT think of ANYTHING to make this stop happening. I Need IDEAS. ANYTHING. I AM GOING INSANE over here. I have to close thier door and most of the time there are so many things in the way I can't even CLOSE the door. So I am writing this in hopes of finding ANYTHING that maybe has helped any of you in this situation. I know there are MORE of you out there that have my same OCD problem and maybe have a couple of boys that are 100% WILD AND MESSY!!!

Family Times....

This past weekend we were able to attend my nieces baptism in Sacramento. We were up there for a few days and had such a great time! The kids always love getting together and playing from sun up to sun down, and I love Misty's cooking, going shopping and doing hair with Misty and my mom!! The baptism was so nice and simple, besides our family there were maybe 3 other families. The talks were nice and the kids did a cute little musical number! We are very proud of you Taylor!!

(Good thing Jada didn't touch Taylors white dress....that would not have been pretty!!)

After the baptism, the kids went straight to the backyard to play in the sprinklers!! I wish I could have that much fun playing in the sprinklers!!

We also went to a way cool pumpkin patch! Jeff was saying he thought we were at Knotts berry farm (minus the roller coasters) It was really fun and the kids had a blast going on the train, mining for marbles, and going on all the fun slides. Misty and I had fun tasting all the food samples (For a minute I thought we were at costco!!)

We all had a great time. We love Linclon and would move there in a second if we could!! Thanks again Marc and Misty for the great time and yummy food....we'll have to do it again soon!!

30 something !!

Saturday night a couple of friends took me out to eat. At the end of the evening the waitress and her co-workers came and sang "happy birthday" and put down the yummiest mud pie ever!!! As we were eating, I was wondering how old the waitress thought I was turning. So she came around to get the check and I asked, "so...how old do you think I am turning?" She looked at me...and thought about it...and said, "I know early twenties, maybe 22?" I just smiled and said.."Try 30!!" She about died and then the 4 kids at home story just topped it off!! I know one day I'll love the compliment, but as of now, it's just kind of weird that I can't say I'm in my 20's. When I was younger I always thought 30 was soo old. So I guess the sayings true, 30's the new 20's lol!!
My mom invited us down for a Super Yummy birthday dinner yesterday. I hesitated (of course) but was so glad we went. The food was great and my mom made her home made chocolate ice cream. We ate and talked and ate and talked, while the kids swam and played all day long!! They love going to grandma and grandpas because they get to spend time with their cousins. Thanks everyone for making my 30th birthday special!!Here's some pics of the evening, there's kind of a lot because I got a new camera and was playing around with it (hence the cake and ice cream pic!!).....
